One of the most common worries I hear from parents when booking their family portraits is that their children don't like to pose (or sit still, or smile.. and the list goes on!). My answer is always the same: never fear. One of my favorite things about taking photos of littles is that they are unpredictable, and the best photos always come when I least expect it.
Jojo was no exception: After learning that she was not, in fact, at the Salem Carousel (what other place would you want to go when you are two?!), she was less than thrilled with my pointing a camera anywhere in her direction. Family portraits? No way! But what Jojo doesn't know is that I am pretty patient...and don't mind playing on the ground, following her around and playing peek-a-boo, or sneaking quick photos of her in-between games of airplane with her aunt! The end result? Some sweet shots of this beautiful girl and her amazing, rockstar of a mama (hi Molly!).
